Three situations

What it reads depends on what it's doing.

The setup scan is details only. Everyday learning records your screen, with a dot and a pause button. Email is read only if you say yes. Tasks and chat read what they need, with a receipt.

What it never does

  • Record password fields, banking, health, or private and incognito windows. It skips them.
  • Record without the visible dot showing
  • Show your recordings or screenshots to your company

Situation 02

Learning from your email

Only if you say yes.

After you connect Microsoft 365 or Google.

What it uses

Your email text, to learn the work that arrives by email: requests, orders, approvals and follow-ups.

From your calendar: who, when and the meeting title.

What it never does

  • Learn from health or personal-finance emails. It skips them.
  • See your password. You sign in on Microsoft's or Google's own page.
  • Take connecting as permission to change anything by itself

A task, or a question in chat

Does Holloway record my screen?

Yes, during everyday learning. It takes screenshots and records your screen while you work, to learn how you do things. A visible dot shows when it's recording, and you can pause it any time. It automatically skips password fields, banking, health, and private or incognito windows. The setup scan itself is details only.

Who can see my recordings and screenshots?

They stay on your PC, encrypted. Your company never sees them.

Does Holloway read my email?

Yes, in three ways. To learn your workflows, in the background, but only once you connect Microsoft 365 or Google and say a separate yes on the consent screen. While doing a task you handed it, it reads the emails that task involves. And when you ask about an email in chat, it reads that email. For tasks and chat, the receipt shows exactly what it read and touched.

Can I turn email learning off?

Yes. It's a separate yes on the consent screen, and you can turn it off. It also skips health and personal-finance emails.

If I connect Microsoft 365 or Google, can it change things there?

Connecting never gives permission to change anything by itself. You sign in on Microsoft's or Google's own page, so Holloway never sees your password.

What goes to the AI provider?

When you use the chat, what you type, plus what's needed to answer, goes to our AI provider only to answer you.

Can my company see what I do?

Your company sees results, like tasks done and time saved. It never sees your screen, recordings, emails, productivity or activity.

Can I make it forget one thing?

No. What Holloway learns is kept, encrypted on your PC, so it keeps getting better, and there are no per-item forget buttons. You can pause recording and learning, turn email learning off, or use Delete all my data in settings, which erases everything. Uninstalling erases everything too.

Will it send email or pay for things on its own?

Deletes, payments and sending to someone new always ask first. Email to people you named can send on its own after the practice run.

Which apps does it work with?

Direct sign-in connections are Microsoft 365 (Outlook email and calendar, Excel) and Google (Gmail and calendar). Reading Gmail likely needs Google's extra app review first, so we aren't promising a date. More connections come later, based on what early members ask for. For everything else, it works in the apps on your Windows PC the way you do, through Windows and your browser, with no setup per app. How well that works varies by app. Sign-ins, two-factor codes and apps it can't control become a step for you, clearly marked, never a guess.

How do I know what it actually did?

Every change is checked. Holloway goes back and reads the app to confirm the change landed, then writes a receipt that shows exactly what it read and touched. No receipt, no "done".
